If you recall our article on planned obsolescence from a few years ago, you’ll probably have a chuckle at my recent misfortune. Apple really has this method down to a science. Last week, almost precisely two years to-the-day into my iPhone 4S ownership bliss, and with my Verizon contract eerily up for renewal, my power button started to act funny. And by funny, I mean it stopped working altogether. Next, a normally uneventful process of syncing Baby photos in iTunes manifested into some fresh new error messages.

Unfortunately, it’s time to feed Apple Computer’s insatiable appetite for profit. Sadly, the only obvious choice for me is the new iPhone 6. So, I purchased two of them last Friday for the Mrs. and myself, and per standard operating procedure in the Kostreva household, we’ll be outfitting them with rugged and handsome Magpul iPhone cases. Over the years, Magpul iPhone cases have been great performers and are more low profile and inexpensive than the gigantic offerings from LifeProof and Otterbox. Even with their minimalist design, they seem to provide adequate protection from the phone’s accident prone and clumsy owners.

So if you’re like us and you’ve recently made the “upgrade” to iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus, we have Magpul cases in stock, ready to ship. They’re available in a variety of stylish colors and they’re only $15.99. Actually, if you bought the 6 Plus, you won’t need a case. You will just buy the optional wall mount and use it as a replacement for your television.

Remember: don’t fight consumerism and the global corporations that run our lives. Be a good comrade and buy some iPhone accessories from Evanski at On Point Firearms Concern. And look on the bright side: Magpul is made in USA. And if you act now, you can add a 12 pack of Streamlight CR123 batteries for only $20 more– a $30 value! [click here]

Oh, and if you’re on the fence about purchasing one of our new Plate Carriers for 25% off from our newsletter earlier this week, we’ll have you know that we are almost sold out of MultiCam! So get off the fence and fire up your credit card. The sale is good through May, and only while supplies last.

That’s all for today, my friends. Have a good ‘un and God bless. — Evan
