The CZ Scorpion EVO 3 S1 is a blow back operated 9mm pistol, shown here wearing a KaK Shockwave brace. Technically, we circumvent the need for a $200 BATFE tax stamp and enjoy relatively the same look and feel as a real SBR (short barrel rifle). Magazines are cheap and plentiful in both 20 and 30 round capacities. The entire solution, as pictured, costs $1099. That’s almost half as much as the comparable offering from Sig Sauer: the new MPX platform. In my book, that makes this Czech import a no-brainer. It’s simply good economics. Click here to order.
